Maybe.....But I fail to see how anybody, of any age group, even if they hate "screwball comedy", can NOT think this is hilarious.
Dont believe me? Watch it and form your own conclusion. 99% will think it is hilarious as judged by the near 5 star total rating and super high marks for sales of this movie...
The less then 1% who claim it is a dud? Get real!!
But, everybody is entitled to their opinion so I suggest if you havent seen this flick, watch and most will join the 99% who loved it...
Seems Like Old Times Overview
Kindhearted lawyer Glenda's (Goldie Hawn) desire to lend a helping hand is evident in the number of stray dogs she has taken in. Her husband Ira (Charles Grodin) is a stuffy district attorney with designs on political office. When her ex-husband Nick (Chevy Chase), a writer who has been forced to rob a bank, shows up on her doorstep seeking refuge from the authorities, she takes him in--spurring a serious of painfully comedic situations as she attempts to keep him hidden from uptight Ira. Razor sharp timing from a trio of comedic heavyweights propels this descendent of 1930s screwball romantic comedies from Neil Simon.

witty, silly and GREAT comedic timing.
the plot isn't the most thick, but the acting is A+.
totally a great escape movie!
I have no idea how this film slipped past me all these years!
