#1 Cheap The Frisco Kid Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I highly recommend this show...it rings authentic in many respects, and has truly funny parts in it. One of my favorite bits is when the rabbi will not ride his horse until the end of the Sabbath, even though there's a posse on their trail. You'll see one perturbed Harrison Ford in that scene.

The Frisco Kid Overview

It's 1850 and new rabbi Avram Belinski sets out from Philadelphia toward San Francisco. Cowpoke bandit Tom Lillard hasn't seen a rabbi before. But he knows when one needs a heap of help. And getting this tenderfoot to Frisco in one piece will cause a heap of trouble - with the law, Native Americans and a bunch of killers. Gene Wilder and Harrison Ford are one feisty team as rabbi and rescuer in this rough-'n'-ready romp that rivals Wilder's earlier Blazing Saddles in Wild West hilarity. Director Robert Aldrich is a seasoned hand at blending roughhouse and laughter, as fans of his earlier The Dirty Dozen and The Longest Yard will attest. With a full posse of screen talents, The Frisco Kid rides tall in the comedy saddle. Director: Robert Aldrich Starring: Gene Wilder, Harrison Ford, Ramon Bieri

#1 Cheap Feast II: Sloppy Seconds Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Continuing and expanding the vision that began in his vicious monster flick Feast (2005), director John Gulager outrageously serves up more blood and gore, in the wickedly campy, Feast II: Sloppy Seconds (2008). With the surprise factor gone, and a lower budget to work with, the monsters make mostly brief appearances, with shaky camera work to simulate a frenzied style of attack. Shot mostly in a small town in Louisiana, the film features authentic locations, as well as some surreal green screen work. As in the first film, characters are largely identified by nicknames.

The original film followed the events during one night, when carnivorous monsters attacked a tavern. Feast II opens in the aftermath of that attack, as Biker Queen (Diane Ayala Goldner), arrives at the scene to find her close friend's detached hand, in the jowls of a dog. Also present is the Bartender (Clu Gulager), who informs the Queen, that the one responsible for her friend's death, lives in a nearby town. With Bartender as a guide, she gathers four female biker friends. The gang known as the Bleeders, arrive to find dead bodies littering the streets of the devastated town. The one they are looking for is not there, but Bartender renews his acquaintance and has a bite, with Honey Pie (Jenny Wade), an old friend from the tavern.

The bikers wind up in a metal shop, with car dealer Slasher (Carl Anthony Payne), Slasher's wife Secrets (Hanna Putnam), car salesman Greg Swank (Tom Gulager), and wrestling dwarfs Thunder (Martin Klebba), and Lightning (Juan Longoria Garcia), and their grandmother. This assortment of freaks, doesn't appear to have a high combined IQ, and spend most of the movie trapped in the same location, trying to figure out a way to get to the town jail, which they believe is a safe haven.

Swank has the brilliant idea to dissect a dead monster, unleashing hideous body gasses, liquid waste, and toxic body fluids in the process. For some unfathomable reason, the group keeps standing around the body like morons, exposing themselves to deadly hazards. The poor Grandmother, gets the worst of it, and receives no help from anyone. Does any of these geniuses even wash themselves off?

Swank is the kind of scumbag, that usually is destined for a short life span, but like a disease, he keeps coming back to commit even greater atrocities. In a classic misdirection, it appears that Swank will actually do something heroic, but instead he sacrifices the most innocent of lives. Slasher also ranks pretty low in the humanity department, as Grandmother, a pathetic victim of Swank's idiocy, is treated like a piece of garbage, and is just one of the many sacrificed. Pro wrestling brothers Thunder and Lighting, may be dwarfs, but they each have some pretty big cojones, taking risks to try and save the group of losers.

Surprisingly, Bartender, Biker Queen and the Bleeders, who kick some major butt in the beginning, become more passive later, when the group retreat to the roof, trying to figure out a way to get into the jail. Her tattooed gal pals, end up topless, providing some decoration, in what is already quite a spacey rooftop scene, as a number of the green screen shots, don't really match up that well, with the look of real location shots.

Honey Pie is off on her own, but like the rest, is going absolutely nowhere, trapped in a store. She finally finds a way out, breaking through a glass door. To protect herself from being cut, she takes off her pants and lays it on the broken glass, then slithers through, with her back covered in blood. Moments later, walking down the street in her panties, there is no blood on her back. Oops! Her shirt was actually ripped earlier, in a fight with Bartender, but it is mysteriously repaired before she enters the store. Her dream sequence with Beer Guy (Judah Friedlander), is just more to get grossed out about.

The commentary features director John Gulager, his father Clu, brother Tom, and wife Diane Ayala Goldner. At the time the commentary was recorded, Feast III (2009) had already been completed, and was in post production. Besides being something of a family affair, John Gulager regards the Feast films as opportunities to push the current barriers in the genre, to WTF limits. Although the budget for the sequel, was lower than the original, this goal was definitely achieved, as Feast II includes drinking spraying waste from monster genitalia, gross monster gas and fluid emissions, a weird belly eyeball, dwarf dismemberment, catapulted bodies, and baby football. Although there are still some nasty kills, the monsters are not featured that prominently, as the sick humor level is cranked into overdrive. There isn't a heck of a lot that is redeeming about the survivors, most of whom will return in Feast III: The Happy Finish.

Feast II: Sloppy Seconds Overview

The monsters have made it into a small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the locals have to band with the survivors of the bar' slaughter to figure out how to survive.

What a cool movie, beautifully filmed, with a curious and eventful plot. I didn't know anything about the game, actually, I didn't know it was based on a game until I read it here... and don't feel I missed a thing, even on second viewing. I loved the special F/X too.

#1 Cheap The Sure Thing (1985) / Valley Girl (1983) (Totally Awesome 80s Double Feature) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I bought this double feature and love them, especially Valley Girl. This was the first time I ever saw The Sure Thing. I saw Valley Girl many years ago when it first showed at the theaters. I think its a classic 80's movie like The Breakfast Club or other movies from that era. Nicholas Cage was just getting his career started about that time and it seemed to help him quite a bit. The Sure Thing is more of a sexy babe type movie that would be good for college kids. I did enjoy it and thought that it was a good fit to go with Valley Girl. My wife and I both enjoy these movies and yes I would recommend this double feature for any video library. It brought back a lot of memories. Valley Girl is one that I will always look forward to watching. Thanks

#1 Cheap Waiting to Exhale Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I think this is a really good movie and especilly the acting. Gotta love Angela Bassett and Whitney. This movie points out no matter what the situation friends can always depend on one another, be there for one another to help get each other through the ups and downs. This movie also speaks to every woman heart soul and whoever been in situation like this women. A unforgettable movie.

Waiting to Exhale Overview

Whitney Houston and Angela Bassett star in this funny and touching film about four women who find strength through their rare and special relationship. Savannah, Bernadine, Robin and Gloria are all searching for the Real Thing: true love. Bernadine thought she had it, until her husband left her for another woman. Savannah and Robin are successful in business but their love lives are bankrupt. And divorcee Gloria is getting back in the game by flirting with her new, very eligible neighbor. Based on Terry McMillan's best-selling novel, and featuring the #1 smash hit "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)," "Waiting to Exhale" is the film you and your friends have been waiting for! Original score by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds.

Pirated? - R. D. Mayhugh - Santa Fe
Waiting to Exhale is one of my favorite movies, and a classic. However, while viewing this film the picture began to pixelate. Was it recorded from a satellite dish during bad weather? I have no idea, but to say the least, I am disappointed in the DVD and its seller.

#1 Cheap Look Around You: Season One Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Considering all these videos are on YouTube, the only reason you'd want to buy this is to get all the nice goodies that come with the DVD, and are available nowhere else. And most of those are pretty good; the producer commentary is great, though the guest commentary is basically just a pathetic laugh track; there are these CeeFax pages, which are pretty neat and comedic; the rest of the bonus features are either not very memorable or already available on YouTube at a lower video quality, for free.

The one bad thing- the thing I can't stand- is the DVD menu transitions. They're designed to take a very long time, which is funny at first, but the humor fades quickly, leaving annoyance.

I recommend you buy this DVD, though. It's one of those now-I-have-the-complete-experience things.

Look Around You: Season One Overview

Look Around You is the BAFTA-nominated comedy series based on the unforgettable Open University and Television for Schools programs of the1970s. Through a series of gloriously deadpan experiments, we observe a colony of ants build an igloo, receive a telephone call from abrain, discover why ghosts can't whistle, and reveal the largest number in the world. Science has never been so silly.

#1 Cheap After Hours Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Martan Scorcesse made After Hours when he was being bullied by fundimentalist goons, trying to get Last Temptation of Christ produced. Can't bring a project off, find another project. It is what the best artists do.

And this film is the opposite of Last Temptation: small, indie tinged and wickedly funny. A nice, average updown New Yorker goes down to Soho to try and get a little action.

When your money goes out the window on the cab ride downtown, it is probably time to go back uptown, have a beer and go to sleep. Our hero does not realize this, and very very few of us would.

And when your first date starts to cry and her roomate goes topless in front of you, yeah, you get the hint. By then, the subway fare goes up and you realize you are in deep trouble.

I won't reveal more but one certianty: we have all days when we should have just stayed in bed with Law and Order and coco. But we troup on and random microdisasters just seem to pop from our normal routine, but by this time, it is too late to go home.

Beyond the great editing and production values and humor which could only be Martin, here is the great part. After the loons of Taxi Driver and King Of Comady, After Hours is Scorcesse dealing with a common guy, having a really, really bad night. Over the top, sure, but something we can all connect with. We have probably all had a day like this, on a smaller scale, in the past few weeks.

The sequence of events is far fetched but with After Hours, that is the point. It makes the film funnier, and the events more immediate.

And I'll tell you, after some of the days I have had, I beleive every frame is entirely plausable.

After Hours Overview

Dunne stars as a confused word processor from New York whose desire for a simple night on the town turns into comedic disaster.

A really good film about a really bad night - Kathryn Mullen - Memphis, TN
Unlike any other film I've seen. With its exquisite direction, and its not quite dramatic, not quite comedic vision of 80s SoHo, it looks and feels different from most other movies. Because of the visual indifference of the vast majority of modern American comedies, it almost feels strange to laugh at something that has been so beautifully shot, edited, and composed. It also features some really memorable characters - the vulnerable, beautiful Rosanna Arquette (whose "Surrender Dorothy" monologue is one of the funnier things I've heard), Linda Fiorentino's punky artist, and, my favorite, a 1960s-fetishizing Terri Garr (with an entire shelf full of hairspray). It's a wonderful film - as long as you don't go into it expecting a madcap comedy - for this is a comedy of the darkest order, not so far off from a nightmare.

#1 Cheap The Adventures of Huck Finn Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I am a big fan of Mark Twain stories, and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's true that not every moment of the book is in the film, but what movie has ever captured a book's every nuance? The acting and casting in this movie is very good, and they really did do a nice job of recreating so many of Twain's vivid scenes. It is one of those movies that I could watch over and over again.

The Adventures of Huck Finn Overview

Climb aboard for an extraordinary version of Mark Twain's sweeping adventure when Walt Disney Pictures presents THE ADVENTURES OF HUCK FINN. It's the unforgettable saga of a mischievous youngster and a runaway slave on a wild expedition to freedom. As the pair take the ride of their lives down the treacherous Mississippi River, they run into an entertaining assortment of offbeat characters and face one challenging adventure after another! You won't want to miss this sensational telling of Twain's classic tale -- an action-packed mix of thrills and excitement!

The Adventures of Huck Finn - Edward M. Montan - Los Angeles
This is an excellent version of the story. Elijah Wood is great as Huck (long before he played Frodo). Modern look to the film, but true to the values of the originial story!

#1 Cheap Yours, Mine and Ours Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

It began on a movie studio backlot. During a break, actresses from a musical chorus line were lounging near a lunch truck. Buster Keaton, one of the great comedians in film history (The General (The Ultimate 2-Disc Edition) (1926)), strolled past and saw one of these women pretending to smoke a cigar with a stick of celery. The ladies around her laughed uproariously. Keaton made note and mentioned to a producer the actress had the comedic gift. "She should be doing comedy."

Lucille Ball would eventually become one of the great comedians in history. By the time she made the fondly-remembered family film "Yours, Mine and Ours" in 1968, her extraordinary career was winding down. But there are moments when Ball's comedic gift flashes brilliantly, specifically during the family dinner when her drink is secretly spiked. This old, great dame of comedy (Lucille: The Life of Lucille Ball) rises to the occasion, and like those chorus girls long before my birth, I was laughing uproariously.

There is much to love about this jovial family film, including an unbelievably true story (Who gets the drumstick?: The story of the Beardsley family), the terrific teaming of icons Ball and Henry Fonda, and salty dialog delivered with superb timing. It's stuck between multiple generations, alternating between unwieldy attempts at hip and cornball (akin to another fine family film Mr. Hobbs Takes a Vacation), but there is something warmly assuring watching this veteran cast deliver the goods.

Ball is perfect as Helen North, a nurse and widowed mother of eight. Compared to her work in I Love Lucy: The Complete Series, it's actually a restrained and credible performance. Fonda plays the straight man Frank Beardsley, a widowed military father of 10 who falls for Ball's character, leading to marriage, a house of 20 family members and colorful detail of their attempts at daily survival. As many noted, this film was a great box office success, leading to the television series The Brady Bunch: The Complete Series (Seasons 1-5 + Shag Carpet Cover). The key was the solid foundation of Ball, Fonda, a delightful Van Johnson and even Tom Bosley. Subtle, skilled and smooth, these veterans deliver classic lines of dialog raising the level of the film several notches.

I think the efforts of director Melville Shavelson, a workman-like veteran with another fine family film on his resume Houseboat, are also key. The scenes of Ball and Fonda's courtship, filmed in the busy streets of San Francisco, are tasteful and realistic. He keeps the frantic proceedings moving along, with enjoyable detail of the family's everyday existence.

Produced during the height of the hippie craze, "Yours, Mine and Ours" makes several references to the Summer of Love. There's the obligatory hippie who eyes Ball at the bar and says, "ridiculous." A strapping teen (a young Ben Murphy), with a crush on older daughter Colleen (Jennifer Leak), is told to "get a haircut." And eventually, the famous speech by Fonda towards film's end, "This is the real happening. If you want to know what love really is, take a look around you. It's giving life that counts. Until you're ready for it, all the rest is just a big fraud. All the crazy haircuts in the world won't keep it turning. Life isn't a love in, it's the dishes and the orthodontist and the shoe repairman and I'll tell you something else. It isn't going to a bed with a man that proves you're in love with him; it's getting up in the morning and facing the drab, miserable, wonderful everyday world with him that counts."

I think there are words of wisdom there. Certainly it's an inspiration to anyone attempting to raise and survive a family. Forty years down the road, this is still relevant advice, which speaks of the timeless quality of "Yours, Mine and Ours." There's a few cheap laughs, the child who eats too much, the short doctor who skips out on a date with Ball, but overall this is a film that works against large odds. By all accounts, this was a smooth and likable production and it shows in the end result.

There are rewards to be found if one allows "Yours, Mine and Ours" to cut through our modern-day cynical facade. It's a hopeful film, like walking down a suburban sidewalk on a Saturday morning. Plus, you have the comedic brilliance of Ball, without peer marching on through years and generations.

Yours, Mine and Ours Overview

Based on a true story and co-starring Van Johnson and Tom Bosley, Yours, Mine And Ours keeps the laughs coming in a "clean, wholesome family comedy" (Life). This population explosion occurs when widowed Navy nurse Helen North (Ball) meets handsome Naval officer and widower Frank Beardsley (Fonda). They have much in commontoo much in factshehas eight kids and he has ten, and when they tie the knot, anarchy reigns in the Beardsley-North merger. The opposing camps of step-siblings do all they can to sabotage each other and their parents' union. But, through it all, mother lovingly cares for her "troops," while father patiently coaches his coming-of-age kids in more delicate matters, and resentment soon gives way to respect and something bigger than anyone could have imagined!

#1 Cheap Marty (1954) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

A sweet, simple story about a lonely, shy butcher who grapples with balancing family and work. Struggling to find confidence due to the ridicule and rejection of people who base on outward experience, Marty maintains his dignity along with his determination to forge a better path for himself.

One night at an upscale nightclub Marty meets a kindred spirit: Clara, an intelligent, plain girl with dreams of her own.

Over many cups of coffee the two share heartfelt conversation and reveal their dreams to one another. Still, friends and family judge. In the end, however, true love prevails as Marty firmly resolves to explore a new world of possibility with Clara.

An uplifting gem with a timeless message. The dialogue is superb. And the simplicity of the story does not detract from its sheer entertainment value as Marty's mother and aunt provide archetypes of Italian culture that add just the right amount of humor to balance the more tender moments!

My only disappointment is that the DVD version cuts three to four minutes of footage as Clara spoke with her parents about her date with Marty. It was such a lovely scene and the movie is not that lengthy to start with. I hope they repackage this DVD and add those to create a theatrical version. In fact, it's my dream to see a 4 disc or a last 2-double sided discs that would include the director's cut, the original theatrical version, the 1953 TV version, and a documentary/commentary about the making of the movie.

One of the best movies ever filmed! Well-deserved Oscar for best picture and Borgnine for best actor!

I bought this dvd for the cowbell skit. I love Will Ferrell for his betrayal of Alex Trebek from Jeopardy. This dvd was well worth what I paid. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of SNL.

Saturday Night Live - The Best of Will Ferrell - Volumes 1& 2 Overview

Highlights Will Ferrell's best performances on Saturday Night Live.

Kind of a rip off - Cypressemote - Florida
I should have listened to the reviews here warning about this one. Do you like Will Ferrell's Bush skits? Congraulations, this dvd will give you one 20 second cut from one skit. And a lot of other 20 second clips taken out of context. (I'm guessing you're supposed to go "oh yeah, I remember that one" and fill in the rest yourself.) The full length skits they do have are a mixed bag - Cowbell is probably the most well known, but it does not carry the rest of the set.

I don't get why SNL is so protective of their footage - like how they won't allow it on Youtube, but then only host a thin selection of content on their own site. My kids started being interested in politics this year, and I really wanted to show them past election skits, including the Will Ferrell Mack North ones where he does the campaign commercials continuing to attack his opponent after the election is over because he genuinely hates him. These moments are a part of our culture, and it's a shame there's no way to see them again.

When this BBC show first came out of course I was much younger and thought the show was a very funny comedy. Now years later I remembered the show and bought the collection. I was amazed now that I am approaching the age of the characters that it is not so much of a Comedy as a blatently real assesment of Old Age and what "Pensioners" go through. How there freedom is gradually taken away, the boredom, the medical problems the lonliness and on. The fact that the characters deal with all this in their own way and how it affected me is just a credit to great writing and acting.

I Hate Valentine's Day (Ws) Overview

The romantic duo behind MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING reunites for an all-new love story with a big fat twist! Nia Vardalos stars as Genevieve, an independent single woman who owns a Brooklyn flower shop along with a strict philosophy on dating: Every relationship should last no more than 5 dates so that she never gets dumped or hurt. But when she meets restaurateur-next-door and all-around nice guy Greg (John Corbett of Sex And The City), she still insists that their delicious courtship only continue to its inevitable end. What do you do when the one rule you never break becomes the one thing that could break your heart? Judah Friedlander (30 Rock), Zoe Kazan (Revolutionary Road) and Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) co-star in this hilarious romantic comedy with no strings attached, written and directed by Nia Vardalos.

Painful - Helen -
I couldn't finish the movie. I turned if off about half way through. Nia Vardalos was painful to watch. Her character had such quirky mannerisms and expressions that it was cartoonish. She also looked cross eyed. She was awful. The story line was boring and even John Corbett's good looks couldn't save the movie.

This one is a stinker that is not worth watching much less purchasing.

#1 Cheap Disney's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea (Two-Disc Special Edition) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

In 1866, Professor Aronnax and his assistant find themselves talked into taking a sea voyage to prove or disprove the existence of a rumored sea monster terrorizing ships in the Pacific. Also on the voyage is a boisterous and skeptical harpooner named Ned Land. It seems to be smooth sailing for their vessel, until their time is nearly up and they finally encounter the talked about monster. However, what they discover turns out to be something far more amazing! The professor and his two companions soon find themselves the reluctant "guests" of a mysterious man called Captain Nemo who has harnessed an amazing power to drive an unbelievable vehicle through and below the ocean waters. Nemo has become a veritable king of the ocean, and Professor Aronnax is eager to learn the secrets to his mastery of the sea, but all his assistant and Ned want to do is get back on dry land and away from Nemo, who seems to be more than a little unstable.

An absolute masterpiece of filmmaking that holds up beautifully to this day, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" is truly one of Walt Disney's proudest achievements. The most expensive film ever made in its day, its effects still impress and the world of Captain Nemo still manages to completely envelope the viewer. It's a true experience of a film, and a fascinating one. The performances are nothing short of brilliant. I've seen the film criticized for its comedic and musical moments (by folks clearly desperate to find something to pick on about the film), but these complaints hold little water. Yes, there's a song; ONE song, and it fits well into the context of the movie. It's a sailor entertaining the crew, not someone bursting out into random croon. The humor is not complaint worthy either, as it again fits well into the context of the film and is nothing ridiculous by any means. This is pretty much a perfect film. The music, the detailed design of every aspect, the incomparable stars (James Mason, Kirk Douglas, Peter Lorre, Paul Lukas), the legendary giant squid sequence; It's all outstanding and unforgettable, and just plain masterful. Directed by Richard Fleischer from the book by Jules Verne, and released in 1954, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" could change the way the average viewer thinks about classic Disney, especially classic Disney live-action. And whether you're a Disney fan or not, if you love movies, this one deserves a place on your shelf.

Disney has nearly outdone themselves with this 2 disc release, too. Apparently following in the footsteps of the earlier Vault Disney releases, this "Special Edition" holds a vault of special features all its own. With a fantastic behind the scenes featurette like Disney has never given before on its classic live-action film releases, some delightful supplementary featurettes on subjects like giant squid, merchandise from the film, the wonderful music, and Jules Verne's connection to Walt Disney, the expected but often overlooked theatrical trailer, extensive galleries and deleted footage, a tour of the Nautilus, audio clips, a Disney Yearbook segment, storyboard comparisons, text info, and even the fantastic Donald Duck Cinemascope cartoon that originally accompanied the film (Grand Canyonscope, a delightful romp through the Grand Canyon with Donald and Ranger Woodlore), oh yes, and even an amazing director audio commentary, this DVD release serves up a fantastic load of extras. However, it still falls short in the bonus features department for two reasons. One: An excerpt from one of the Disneyland anthology series episodes, "Monsters of the Deep" is shown. This frustrates me. Why not give us the whole episode? I always am annoyed when they do this. But even worse, there was another episode that was basically a promo for the film itself. The episode was called "Operation Undersea", and though it was basically an hour-long commercial for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", it was so good it won an Emmy. Why isn't this on the disc? It was mentioned in the bonus material and would seem like a no brainer to be included here. Alas, so close to a perfect DVD release from Disney, but the ball was still dropped in this department.

Nevertheless, this 2-disc Special Edition is a MUST OWN for the film itself and all the outstanding bonus features it DOES have. Now, a short time back, a rerelease of this film to DVD was announced. I recently read that the rerelease has been rescheduled and might be coming out this year after all. So, be wary, as sometimes Disney's rereleases lack some of the bonus features that were on the previous release. I don't know if the rerelease, if it DOES get released after all, will be 1 disc or 2, but either way, there's a chance, as with the similar Witch Mountain rerelease, that a bonus feature or two, probably some very significant one(s) for fans, will disappear. So, for safety's sake, you may want to pick this edition up now, especially since the price has been so nice lately. Now, we can always hope that the next release will include "Operation Undersea", but, well, I wouldn't get my hopes up against that. Either way, go out and get this film! You won't regret it!

It is so refeshing to be able to laugh at real life christians having fun. The plays are marvelous. The situations are real, but with faith and a sense of humor, you can make it through anything. I have purchased two sets to give as gifts. They have also enjoyed them immensely.

Thank you Tyler Perry! Keep up the great work, and don't give in to "Hollywood" demands that the family must be run by disrespectful children because the father is absent, or is a complete idiot and the mother is gullible, needy, and incompetent. We need movies to show that all families are dysfunctional in some way, but with love, respect, and faith in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit . . . . . . the family will make it through ANYTHING.

Tyler Perry - The Plays (7 Disc Box Set) Overview

A collection of Tyler Perry's stage presentations of his comical plays about African-American families, strong women, and marriage.

Great!!! - mssingleton -
This item is great! Every family should have one. And, it comes in a box that conatins all 7 plays so that you wont have to worry about unnecessary misplacements. ;)

#1 Cheap Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinaire (Looney Tunes Super Stars) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

When it has came down to Bugs Bunny, he honestly has been one of the most influential cartoon characters of al time. With him celebrating his 70th birthday this year, many fans have been going crazy for that wild "wascally wabbit" for so many generations. Yet, with all the hype lately around other animated favorites like Spongebob Squarepants, and recently with The Penguins Of Madagascar going for so much joy for kids young and old, it is just too easy for many people to forget the originals that have made so many impacts on what animation was like nearly 70 or 80 yeras ago. For Bugs, it is a new chance for his greats to be recognized with a whole new era of fans alike. What's really up doc, it could be found here.

Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinare is the latest as part of the new Looney Tunes Superstars series, is a collection of 15 animated gems from the classic Looney Tunes library. The collection of cartoons is a great trip back to the past, and a great addition for anyone whom already owns all 6 volumes of the Looney Tunes: Golden Collection DVD sets. The compilation includes a lot of greats that have never before made it to DVD before including favorites like Napoleon Bunny-Parte, where Bugs travels to France by accident by making yet another wrong turn, and battling Napoleon in a game of funny wits, The Million Hare where Daffy Duck & Bugs find themselves contestants on a TV game show trying to battle on who is going to win a cross-country race to the studio for "The Million Box," and favorites with Bugs battling the Tasmainian Devil of gems like Dr. Devil & Mr. Hare and Bedeviled Rabbit. The cartoons have all been remastered nicely, and are displayed in their original letterbox format, which was like the way they were when they debuted in the movie screens around 50 years ago. There aren't any extras unlike the Looney Tunes Golden Collection series had shown, but it is still worth the effort.

All in all, Bugs Bunny: Hare Extraordinare is a great buy for hard core Looney Tunes fans all these years, but not for anyone whom has not yet seen what wacky tales Bugs had been a part of for 70 years. For those as starters, I'd honestly recommend The Essential Bugs Bunny which is coming soon to DVD in a few months. What really should be up for Bugs, a great 70th birthday for all his fans, and anyone who loves that "looney, tuney, wascally wabbit."

5 FOR CARTOONS MINUS 2 FOR WIDESCREEN FORMATTING - VOICE OF VICTORIA - VICTORIA AUSTRALIA
These cartoons while not absolute classic LT's are certainly excellent. Some of the artistic merit from a cartoon buffs point of view is lost through a poor transfer to widescreen. This is a flaw but not enough to stop me making a purchase. WBHV certainly need to lift their game in this regard. That point made these cartoons still make enjoyable viewing.

#1 Cheap The Men Who Stare At Goats Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

This must be one of the silliest movies I've seen in quite a while. "Silly" usually means I did not like it. But this one is different. Although silly, I still liked it. I kept watching, just to see what silly stuff would come up next. I guess this is not a movie for everyone. After watching, it crossed my mind, that perhaps if you are a fan of History Channel, you may like this movie. Simply because the subject might be of interest. I found the cast also very good. I think they would have a hard time pulling this kind of movie of with any other cast.

My favorite part of the movie is when Bop wakes up in a car in the middle of the dessert, doesn't see his buddy Lynn,.... panics and runs of yelling for Lynn in the dessert. I won't spoil it here for those who haven't seen it, but imagine being in such a situation,.... definitely not a place I would like to be!

I also liked the special feature on the DVD where (apparently) real ex-psychic military people talk about some of the things they were trying. Truly bizarre,... but interesting.

In any case, be aware this is probably not for everyone. If you like the cast, and the topic/theme is of interest to you, you may like this movie. Otherwise... well, you may not.

The Men Who Stare At Goats Overview

In this comedic look at real life events that are almost too bizarre to believe, reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) discovers an experimental top-secret wing of the U.S. military called The New Earth Army, trained to change the ways wars are fought through New Age psychic power.   In search of his next big story, Wilton tracks down Lyn Cassady (Academy Award® winner George Clooney), a shadowy figure who claims to be a member of this legion of “Warrior Monks” with unparalleled psychic powers who can read the enemy’s thoughts, pass through walls, and even kill a goat simply by staring at it.

Great cast & references - maniac -
Be 1 with the force!
Tongue in cheek humor with great cast, but short on LOL humor

I was falling asleep watching this movie - landscaping.

Jeff Bridges hasn't gotten an Academy Award yet due to tired old hippee persona.
Dude, not a typo, something serious so you get the award before you're old.
You deserve it.

#1 Cheap The Host (Two-Disc Collector's Edition) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

This review will be short and sweet:
I loved this movie. It was perfectly paced, well acted and a lot of fun.
You can't help but root for the main characters.
The monster is one of the most original creatures I've seen in years.
This movie is everything you want in a good old fashioned monster movie. I've seen both the dubbed and sub-titled versions and both are good (although I've always preferred sub-titled movies).
Warning: make sure you've got your snacks ready to go before you start the movie. Once the action starts you won't want to pause it for any reason.

Well worth the watch... - S. Carr - Nashua, NH
I was bored, had nothing to do so I streamed this via netflix. It was awesome!! I found myself laughing out loud to the dry humor quite a lot!! The picture and acting was fantastic. Didnt really like the ending but still worth watching.

#1 Cheap Intolerable Cruelty (Widescreen Edition) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Miles Massey, a prominent Los Angeles divorce attorney has everything, and in some cases, two of everything. Despite his impressive client list, a formidable win record, the respect of his peers and an ironclad contract the Massey pre-nup named after him, he's reached a crossroads in his life. Sated on success, boredom has set in and he's looking for new challenges. All that changes when Miles meets his match in the devastating Marylin Rexroth. Marylin is the soon-to-be ex-wife of his client Rex Rexroth, a wealthy real estate developer and habitual philanderer. With the help of hard charging private investigator Gus Petch, she has Rex nailed and is looking forward to the financial independence a successful divorce will bring. But thanks to Miles' considerable skills, she ends up with nothing. Not to be outdone, Marylin schemes to get even and as part of her plan, quickly marries oil tycoon Howard Doyle. Miles and his unflappable associate, Wrigley, unwittingly dig themselves in deeper and deeper as they go head-to-head with Marylin. Underhanded tactics, deceptions and an undeniable attraction escalate as Marylin and Miles square off in this classic battle of the sexes. This movie is decent, some good acting, decent script, decent direction, and nice atmosphere. A multiplex pleasing romance with quirky humour, it does work and should be enjoyed as that.

Intolerable Cruelty (Widescreen Edition) Overview

George Clooney establishes himself as a true Hollywood movie star and heir to the Cary Grant throne in this hysterical dark romantic comedy from the Coen brothers. Clooney plays Miles Massey, an unhappy and lonely divorce lawyer who specializes in protecting the wealth of men who have been caught cheating by their wives. But when Marilyn Rexroth (Catherine Zeta-Jones, who has never looked better) walks into his office, he thinks he might be in love, leading to a thrilling cat-and-mouse battle of the sexes in which audiences never know who's scamming whom and whether true love is ever attainable--especially when there is a lot of money at stake. Much has been made of the Coens' venture into mainstream movies, but INTOLERABLE CRUELTY fits in well in their pantheon of unusual and highly entertaining films, including THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, and BLOOD SIMPLE. Clooney and Zeta-Jones light up the screen, and they get ample support from Billy Bob Thornton as a rich country bumpkin oil magnate, Julia Duffy as a poor little rich girl, Richard Jenkins as a low-rent lawyer, Edward Herrmann as a train-loving naughty boy, Geoffrey Rush as an eccentric television producer, Cedric the Entertainer as an outrageous private investigator, and the inimitable Irwin Keyes as bizarre hit man Wheezy Joe. Fast-paced dialogue, gorgeous settings, and Clooney's facial gestures combine for a whirlwind film that is both fun and funny. The soundtrack contains many Simon & Garfunkel songs, in two cases riotously performed by a folksinging priest and a Las Vegas chapel bagpiper.

Good cast, design, music; not much of a script - Viva - So. Cal.
There is a great cast here, nice music by Carter Burwell, and lovely production design. The problem is the script, which suffers for the same reason that the one for The Hudsucker Proxy did: the Coens wrote it with other people. When the brothers work only with each other, they produce better work. When working with a writing team, the script suffers.

#1 Cheap Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (Extreme Unrated) [Blu-ray] Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

In spite of myself (very serious, politically sensitive, aware of differences, blah, blah) I was laughing throughout this movie. I have to agree, this is one of the best comedies ever.

It explores male homoeroticism in an overtly superficial, but covertly introspective way. Is Kumar a closet case who attracts male attention, or is there a gay male predator always lurking about for some reason.

It explores heterosexist female exploitation through over the top jokes: pretty girls who have diarrhea.

It explores interracial violence, and the admitted failure of the oppressed to help the similarly situated.

It explores self hatred and loathing of one's ancestry.

It does all this in a light way - the best way to educate is by making people laugh.

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (Extreme Unrated) [Blu-ray] Overview

Bluray Disc

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (Unrated) DVD - Brandon "3oh!3 fan" -
Harold and Kumar is a hilarious movie! It's similar to the recent [stoner] comedies Smiley Face and Pineapple Express! This movie is outrageously amazing and laugh-out-loud funny. This movie is loaded lots of laughs, gross outs, and best of all Neil Patrick Harris! This movie is highly recommended.

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I think the show is great, but i want to make sure that whoever buys this season, or any purchase at all, does not purchase from the company "youikethat".

i purchased season 3 and 4 from youlikethat, and when i received my packages, i noticed that season 3 had only disc 1 and 2 disc 3's. i notified amazon who said i would have to return the season and wait 4 weeks for my money back, then repurchase with a different company. i left a negative feedback for youlikethat and they promptly emailed saying they would fix the error. they asked for my info said it would be shipped, then completely stopped any communication- it has been over three weeks with no contact.

they have NO problem recieving a purchasers money and giving them a defective product, then apologize and sweet talk the buyer. once the buyer removes the contact, they skip town.

DO NOT BUY FROM YOULIKETHAT, THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY AND GIVE FAULTY PRODUCTS.

#1 Cheap Angels With Dirty Faces Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Very few flaws make their presence known in this 30's gangster film starring Cagney, O'Brien and Bogart. The film has action, suspense, drama, romance and even a little comedy (very little, but it's there). An all around crowd pleaser, it's a shame that `Angels with Dirty Faces' has suffered from mockery. Alas, the film is strong enough to survive, and survive it has.

The story is a simple one, one of two boys from the same neck of the woods going two very different routes thanks to fate. Rocky and Jerry are best friends, both stirring up trouble on their block when Rocky winds up taking the fall for a robbery gone wrong. Refusing to let Jerry share in the blame, Rocky wound up a hardened criminal, in and out of prison for fifteen years. Jerry on the other hand used his break from Rocky as a way to straighten out his life and has become a priest, focusing his time and attention on the young boys in the neighborhood, hoping that they don't take the same road that Rocky did. The problem is that these boys idolize Rocky, and when he gets released from jail and winds up back in his old neighborhood he causes more trouble then he intended.

The film is a beautiful (albeit tragic) look at loyalty. Separated for fifteen years, Jerry and Rocky are still remarkably loyal to one another despite their separate paths in life. While Rocky attempts to put his trust in fellow criminals James Frazier and Mac Keefer, he realizes that they cannot be trusted and would stop at nothing to get him out of the picture. The greatest arc comes at the films finale, which may be one of my favorite closing sequences put to film. It is heartbreaking, gut-wrenching and ultimately uplifting. I know those sound like total contradictions, but watch and you will see.

Those tears on Father Jerry's face echoed my own.

The performances here are ridiculously good, for the most part. In fact, everyone was stellar except Ann Sheridan, who happened to be horribly wooden and almost distracting. At least she was attractive. The men here, including the slew of young actors, all nailed their roles. The kids, at times, can come off as obnoxious and a tad annoying, but that was the characters they were playing. James Cagney deserved the Oscar nom he snatched up, for his infectiously conflicted Rocky Sullivan is a noteworthy and memorable screen character. The way he maintains his charisma while building layers of emotional confliction is superb, and that final scene is just a powerhouse for both he and O'Brien. Speaking of O'Brien, he really should have been nominated as well. Both he and Cagney are perfect compliments. There is such paternal warmth that radiates from O'Brien's performance; he is so endearing. Bogart and Bancroft are also both scenery chewers here, salivating malicious intent all over their shady characters.

In the end this is an action packed drama that layers its characters and its plot enough to constitute as an all around solid film, one that is more than just a generic gangster film but one that shows some real teeth and a lot of heart.

#1 Cheap Dragon Ball GT: Season One Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Many people to my surprise hate GT(I personally love DBZ and Dragonball was awesome too. I personally love the series I felt like Pan, Goku, and Trunks searching for the dragonballs at the beginning of this series was a very nice nostalgic element to the series, getting ot see Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Bulma, Gohan and the rest of the gang in their much older forms is pretty cool, especially if you've been following the series since you were a child, most fans grew up on the series, but newcomers can still enjoy this series (If you like GT, you'll love Dragonball and DBZ). This box set covers the Black Star and Baby sagas(though a few episodes of the Baby saga end up being on season 2). The Season one box set includes a booklet that gives you a brief summary on characters and episode descriptions, which is a very good tool for those who are new to the series or who want to come back later to watch their favorite episodes. The marathon feature is great for quicker viewing, they've got textless songs, andanese audio for those who want to see the series in its original form. The DVD includes 34 episodes on 5 discs, and although the first 15-16 episodes are entertaining, there's not as much fighting as hardcore DBZ fans are used to, but it quickly picks up as the Baby saga gets underway and continues onward from there. If you're a fan of the series, I recommend adding GT to your collection, and at the reasonable price 0f around , it's worrh it.

#1 Cheap You Can't Take It with You (Remastered) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Please note I saw this movie on TV so I can't speak to the quality of the video transfer or its features.

This movie is pure Capra from beginning to end. Lionel Barrymore is superb as the nominal patriarch of a bunch of eccentric free souls, who, long before the 60s and its "tune in, turn on, drop out," message, basically had the same idea back in 40s era Manhattan in this very funny movie. It's interesting that Barrymore plays the anti-capitalist here when he played the wealthy and greedy Mr. Potter in It's a Wonderful Life, again with Jimmy Stewart. The residents of this looney bin pursue various hobbies including dancing, playing the xylophone, writing plays, making scary rubber masks, and producing spectacular fireworks in the basement--which are always going off--lending various pops, bangs, and whooshes to the already pretty zany ambience of the place.

When the son of a stuffy but very wealthy Wall St. financier (played by Edward Arnold who is perfect in this role) falls for Barrymore's granddaughter, the stage is set for a confrontation between the two families and their contrasting lifestyles--money and status vs. being true to yourself and doing your own thing. But despite the father and mother's disapproval, love wins out in the end. I note some of the reviewers here didn't like the movie and preferred the stage play. Well, I didn't see the play and can only say this is just another fun, warming, positive, and enjoyable Capra movie. The world could use another Capra and his uplifting message the way the world is going these days.

### ABOUT THE 4 FILM FAVORITES SERIES ###

Warner Brothers/New Line's "4 Film Favorites" is a line of two-disc sets consisting of four films that are part of a series/franchise or center around a common theme. Each disc is dual-sided, with the contents of each side being a bit-for-bit copy (a "disc image") of a previous DVD release. Usually the very first DVD release of a film is used as the master for each side, which could be either single-layer or dual-layer. If the DVD master that is used first came out at the infancy of DVD production (the late 1990s), there may be little to no extras, and even a poor film transfer when compared to a later re-release. Also, if that original release was a two-disc set, or a dual-sided disc (see: Lethal Weapon 4), only Disc 1 or Side A will be used. The "4 Film Favorites" line is priced with the budget-conscience consumer in mind, with Target having the lowest price at 9.99 each (occasionally on sale for 8.99). Other stores will inevitably be priced higher, though I don't recommend paying more than ten dollars for each two-disc set.

Christmas in Wonderland

Is this a great Christmas classic? No. It's more modern Christmas fluff. It's fun, it's goofy, and it's got enough Christmas magic in it that it's definitely worth a watch. Probably worth more than one watch. Beats the heck out of a lot of the other TV Christmas movies that have been made in recent years. And having several of my favorite actors in it helped. Tim Curry and Patrick Swayze always satisfy, just like a Snickers bar.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: The Complete Fifth Season Overview

This season, Will meets Lisa – and before you can say “Go slow, bro,” he’s in love, engaged and standing before the minister with 50 pounds of iced shrimp melting in the banquet hall. All that romance must be contagious, because Carlton finds his soul sister through online dating. (Unfortunately, that’s only half right. It’s Hilary.) And there’s a lot more than love going on as Will grapples with a big orange whale, a mobster, a bear, Jay Leno, Lisa’s cantankerous dad and in one of the series’ most memorable episodes, a bullet with his name on it. With this 4-disc set, you are cordially invited to all 25 laugh-out-loud, love-happy Season 5 Episodes of the hit, hilarious show that gave sitcoms street smarts.

When I was a child, I loved Disney films. We would go to the cinema where everything was larger than life. I have been pleasantly surprised several decades later to find that many of my best-loved Disney experiences translate well to the smaller screen of home. One such production I remembered with great fondness, and recently rediscovered on DVD, is Candleshoe.

The film stars a young teen-aged Jody Foster (perhaps one of her least known roles). She does a great job as the young delinquent from the `mean streets' of America who agrees to take part in a con job at a country manor home, going on an `inside job' treasure hunt. At one point, the main instigator of the job, played admirably by Leo McKern (perhaps best known as Rumpole of the Bailey), calls her deprived, at which point she corrects him and proclaims that she's not deprived, she's delinquent!

Helen Hayes, in what is perhaps her last role for the big screen, plays Lady St. Edmund, the grandmother of a lost girl, presiding over a nearly-bankrupt country manor home that doubles as an informal boarding house for other unattached children. Also part of this home is Priory, the quintessential English butler, played by the ever dapper David Niven (who, because of his star power, is given top billing in the film, and plays through Priory a host of other characters). Rounding out the cast are several child actors who do generally good Disney job of it all.

The plot is simple for children to follow, but not simplistic so as to lose the interest of adults. The basic plot is that Harry (McKern) and his cousin (a sacked maid from Candleshoe) plant Casey (Foster) in the country house to look for hidden treasure of the pirate ancestor of Lady St. Edmund. Casey agrees, after being promised a piece of the action, and she is introduced after appropriate coaching as the missing granddaughter returned. Casey discovers that not is all as it seems - while Lady St. Edmund presides as lady of the manor, Priory the ever-faithful butler and the retinue of children do their best to hide from her the fact that the manor is nearly bankrupt, and they are getting by without staff (Priory impersonates them all, including the impertinent Scottish gardener and the chauffeur sounding accent-wise like a reject from a Beatles cover band) and producing goods for the farmers' market in town to keep the bills paid as best they can. Casey proceeds to follow clues through the house looking for the treasure, while the other children follow Casey trying to find out what she's up to. In classic Disney style, there are moments of suspense, mystery, action and a climax where the bad guys lose and the good guys win, but not in this case by the most predictable means possible (fear not, I'll not spoil the ending!).

The set is an often-used set at Compton Winyates, eight miles west of Banbury in the English Midlands (scenes from `Death on the Nile' were filmed just the next year at the same place). There's a great English feel to this, without being over the top.

I recommend this film for kids of all ages. It stands the test of time well.

Candleshoe Overview

Welcome to Candleshoe, a stately English manor where a swashbuckling pirate hid a fortune in Spanish doubloons centuries ago. And that's what young orphan Casey (Award-winning actress Jodie Foster) and a sly con man (Leo McKern) are determined to find. But first she must dupe Candleshoe's widowed owner into believing she's her long-lost granddaughter! Casey eventually discovers there may be an even greater treasure at Candleshoe -- the love of a happy family. Legendary stars David Niven and Helen Hayes join Foster in this humorous and heartwarming adventure presented for the first time in its original, uncut theatrical version!

Helen Hayes And Jodie Foster. Two Of Disney's Best Stars. - Dean Richards - CA
I think most people express their love of this movie so well there is not much more to add. It's a wonderful family film and a true classic Disney treasure. I love Helen Hayes, she was one of Disney's brightest stars. She was charming and wholesome, which is so appropriate for Disney. I hope Disney never loses it's wholesomeness. Wholesome is the foundation of the whole organization. I hope they never lose that quality.
I heard from one reviewer online that this film has developed a cult following in England with some college students. That's just great. I hope more attention can be brought to this deserving little film.
For anyone interested in more Helen Hayes Disney classics, I suggest the hilarious 'One Of Our Dinosaurs is missing'.

#1 Cheap House Party Collection: 4 Film Favorites Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

The first movie in the series will always be the best, however the cost of all 4 on one disc is great value for money. The second and third are entertaining and I don't remember watching the 4th as I'm not sure Kid or Play was in it. Overall, this is a great purchase.

#1 Cheap Marilyn Monroe Special Anniversary Collection (The Seven Year Itch / Gentlemen Prefer Blondes / Niagara / River of No Return / Let's Make Love / Marilyn - The Final Days) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Well, this is by no means the definitive Marilyn Monroe Collection, but represents just the highlight movies of her career as an actress.
One should also own "Bus Stop", "How to Marry a Millionaire", "Monkey Business", "Don't Bother to Knock", "O'Henry's Full House", "Asphalt Jungle" and "The Misfits", in order to have a somewhat complete picture of her movie career.

But if one wants to start somewhere, this is the Basic Marilyn Monroe Collection, starting in order with "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", a very funny and
successful Comedy, followed by "Niagara", a romantic thriller, "River of No Return", also starring Robert Mitchum in a very interesting Western (in which Marilyn seems to be far more herself in a natural part and not so stereotyped as usual), "The Seven Year Itch", the iconic comedy which actually made
Marilyn into a myth and one of the last movies, "Let's Make Love", with French actor/singer Yves Montand at her side, which can be considered a lukewarm and pale example of unsuccessful comedy, attempting to revive her career.

In addition to these, comes a feature long documentary about her "Final Days", which includes, toward the end, the reconstructed and alas, truncated (due to her premature death) final movie in which Marilyn was supposed to appear, opposite Dean Martin and Cyd Charisse, called "Something Got to Give".
A true rarity and a unique document in time.

All the copies are special Anniversary editions, which also appeared earlier in different boxed sets, which means that they all received a digital remastering of picture elements and a full digital transfer on DVD.
The sound is on all, and where possible, either in Stereo or Surround and this has been achieved with a very accurate remastering, giving by now, the best audio quality possible.

I call it an excellent package and deal for this price.

A must, for all those who remember Marilyn with fondness and respect.

Marilyn Monroe Special Anniversary Collection (The Seven Year Itch / Gentlemen Prefer Blondes / Niagara / River of No Return / Let's Make Love / Marilyn - The Final Days) Overview

Collection Includes the following Titles:

**SEVEN YEAR ITCH **GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES **NIAGARA **RIVER OF NO RETURN **LET'S MAKE LOVE **MARILYN: THE FINAL DAYS

"MY Heart Belongs" - Terrence L. Sellers - new jersey
This is the last complete performance on film of Marilyn and I have to say that she(as usual) is stunning! Her performance is on the money and, she even dares comparison to Mary Martin by performing "My Heart Belongs To Daddy" in her own way which is something to see!I recommend this one highly as it comes on the success of her smash hit,"Some Like It Hot"

#1 Cheap Saved By the Bell - Season Five Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

As for the actual condition, the product was excellent. The packaging was perfect and each disc worked without any problems.

The content is just as good. Season 5 of Saved by the Bell has some outstanding episodes that take advantage of the high level of comfort and cameraderie that the actors have reached with one another by this point, while at the same time bringing in wonderful new comic gags. Tori is a very good addition in her own right, but the episoded with her, while produced just as well, simply feel a bit empty to me without the "original gang." However, episodes like "Senior Prom" and "Graduation" provide the perfect closure for the show, bringing everything together just as it should be. Overall, fantastic in all respects.

Saved By the Bell - Season Five Overview

Season 5 of the hit TNBC Series "Saved by the Bell" finds our favorite teens causing more trouble and continuing their inventive schemes during their senior and final year at Bayside High School. In Season 5 we follow Zack, A.C., Screech, Lisa and the newest transfer to Bayside High, Tori. This season’s adventures include Zack and the Teen Line, the Teachers Strike, Slater’s Sister comes to town, Drinking and Driving, Senior Prom, the Time Capsule and the final Graduation episode.

Saved by the Bell Season 5 - A. Pierre - Somewheres
I grew up watching this show but I haven't watched it in years, when I tuned in again for some reason. TBS has aired this show at 7 am for years now. I admit watching Dustin Diamond probably made me not want to watch the show with his recent behavior. The shows are jumbled with the introduction of the new girl and the subtraction of Kelly and Jesse and then epsiodes of Kelly and Jesse minus Terry. Usually the introduction of a new character in a tv series means the death of the show but this is an expection. Terry is watchable and doesn't take away from the show.

Overall, I enjoyed this season even if the epsiodes are out of place.

#1 Cheap Saturday Night Live: The Best of Adam Sandler Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

I like Adam Sandler. This is not a horrible collection, though I think that they could have picked some better skits and segmants. Basically, SNL is trying to take advantage of having had great performers on theis show, and they want to get more money out of Jane and John Q Public, so they put these together to try to whet our appitites. They come close but miss the mark on this DVD in my opinion. There are better moments for Adam, and they are missing from this disc, but the DVD has its moments, and I would say that it is a welcome addition to our collection.

Saturday Night Live: The Best of Adam Sandler Overview

YOU'LL SEE OPERA MAN, CAJUN MAN, CANTEEN BOY, GAP GIRL AND MANY OTHER ORIGINAL CHARACTERS CREATED BY SUPERSTAR ADAM SANDLER. INCLUDES GUESTS ALEC BALDWIN, COURTNEY COX, DAVID DUCHOVNY AND SHANNON DOHERTY PLUS SNL REGULARS CHRIS FARLEY, DAVID SPADE AND ROB SCHNEIDER.

Excelent-o - Lanning K. Norberg - South Dakota
Great movie for Adam Sandler fans. This is probaly one of the best SNL videos available. It has so many different Adam characters and you can see how much fun the cast is having while doing the show.

#1 Cheap Coyote Ugly (Unrated Special Edition) Reviews

Special Price Today Go To Store!! (Limited Time Offer)

Although panned by critics, "Coyote Ugly" was geared toward the young female audience who could identify with a young woman trying to make it in New York City. Violet (Piper Perabo) heads to New York City to make it as a singer, but finds the road to success is tougher than anticipated. Violet gets a job as a waitress in the real life bar the Coyote Ugly and it is there that she makes new friends, while showing the world how great a singer she is. LeAnn Rimes did the actual singing of the Violet character as Perabo's vocals were dubbed. Rimes also makes a special guest appearance in the movie.
The film was a modest success at the boxoffice, but more importantly, the soundtrack became huge, going 4X Platinum in 2008. Rimes breakout pop hit "Can't Fight The Moonlight" would go all the way to #11 on the Billboard Pop Singles Chart.
The DVD is filled with bonuses including a LeAnn Rimes music video, commentaries, extra scenes, trailer, and more. The film was also directed by big-time Hollywood director Jerry Bruckheimer.
In all a fun film, with great music, and characters the audience can enjoy.

Coyote Ugly (Unrated Special Edition) Overview

From hit-making producer Jerry Bruckheimer (GONE IN 60 SECONDS, ARMEGEDDON) comes the special unrated extended cut of COYOTE UGLY. It's the intoxicating sexy comedy starring an unbeatable cast of hot new stars including Piper Perabo (CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN) and Maria Bello (PAYBACK). Moving to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a famous songwriter, Violet Sanford (Perabo) finds herself desperate and broke. Through a twist of fate, the shy, innocent Violet lands a job as a barmaid at the hottest nightclub in town -- the down and dirty, wild and fun Coyote Ugly. Overflowing with attitude, the "Coyotes" spend more time on top of the bar than behind it, tantalizing the standing-room-only crowd with their outrageous antics! It's one wild adventure for a small-town girl with big city dreams.

It's ladies' night all the time...not much else - Del Keyes - In the middle of the Sunshine
This is one of those titles that I find difficult to review. I don't hate "Coyote Ugly" but I'm not exactly liking it all the same, and that's the basis of my opinion. If you want to see girls having a wild and crazy time or you're the type of eccentric person who wanted something feisty to watch with friends on popcorn night, you'll probably enjoy this movie. This movie is loud, claustrophobic, and out-of-control, if this what occurs in the real Coyote Ugly location, then I got wonder about the safety hazards if girls can dance on barstills and lit the still on fire and dance on it like a tribsman. Of course, it could all be exaggerated for the sake of movie magic.

Naming the Coyotes at heart, the leader of the pack is Lili (Maria Bello), a character I kinda like because she's direct while being level-headed, which granted is what a leader is suppose to be. Zoe (Tyra Banks), gets the distinction of not appearing as often as the other girls. Rachel is the self-proclaimed b-word although she's quite modest for what she is, and Cammie is the flirty type, which at least that girl lived up to her status; these two shared a special distinction of not knowing who they are before looking it up on IMDb, and even then I forgot their names. The final Coyote is the newbie and main protagonist, Violet (Piper Perabo), who got out of the Jersey to be an aspiring songwriter in New York, which failed attempts, broken dreams and meeting her love interest led to her discovering the bar and joining in. Violet bugs me, her sweet and innocent attitude comes as rather phony, and she's not exactly hard to please. When she met her love interest, she played the "You're not what I'm looking for, get away from me, creepy" gag for only a few minutes before she let that guy easily get into her heart and her 'cage'. The romantic sub-plot between those two was cheesy and patchy, almost contrived, but I know some people eat this stuff up from "Gossip Girl" or "Laguna Beach" so this aspect is of acquired taste...of low expectations.

Since I saw the unrated version and never the original, I have some thoughts on what I think are added scenes. One scene has Violet exposing her chest during a love-making scene; visible boobs is enough to know it's an added scene and I don't think the scene had to be extended just for that, and plus, why Violet's boobs and not Lili's boobs (just as a preference)? Another scene has the Coyotes compete in a baseball match, and Cammie stripped while on batting to ogle her competition. She only exposed her bra and panties, but I had to think this is added for this version, but the entire scene revolved around pointless, almost insulting eye-candy.

Calling "Coyote Ugly" shameless is rather apt. All these girls are just strutting their stuff, and though they keep the movie exciting, I eventually got sick of their promiscuity. It's a case of 'too much of a good thing', and besides almost of the gals are really that interesting. But the movie knows what it wants to show, so it's not bad or good. It just is.
