This movie won't rank up there with some of Jimmy Stewart's best - after all, he was a legend of the movie screen. But this is a light-hearted comedy about an older couple trying to relax while dealing with the new generation that their kids have become a part of. Hobbs is a simple man used to a simple way of life, but he's now surrounded by the new fad of parenting that is different from his own. One pleasant surprise is about an hour into the movie, where the Hobbs go to a country club that has a dance for the kids. If you notice the trumpet player in the band - who is on screen for several minutes - you'll see a young Herb Alpert, who at this time (1962) was just starting the Tijuana Brass and A&M Records. Years later Jimmy Stewart would make a cameo appearance on one of Alpert's TV Specials.
